Brandon Bielak

Bielak made 13 starts for Houston in 2023 compiling a 3.83 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 6.97 K/9 in 80 innings pitched. The 27-year-old filled in admirably for an injury plagued Astros rotation for most of the season before the wheels fell off in late July and he was demoted to Triple-A. With Houston's top four in the rotation set, Bielak is on the outside looking in at a rotation spot with J.P. France and Jose Urquidy likely ahead of him in the pecking order. The righty's best path to a roster spot could be as a long reliever out of the bullpen meaning he'll likely be limited to a streaming role for fantasy managers unless a rotation spot opens up in season.
