DFS College Basketball: Wednesday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

One of the busiest College Basketball days of the week is here with both DFS sites including double-digit game slates and six top-25 teams in action. DraftKings features their $15 Pull Up Jumper contest with a $5,000 top prize, while FanDuel highlights the $9 All-American and $1,000 to first. Both sites tip-off at 7 p.m. EST.

Top Players

Jordan Usher, G/F, Georgia Tech ($8,500 DK, $7,900 FD)

Usher and the Yellow Jackets get a favorable matchup tonight against the Hokies, who have given up 70+ points in three consecutive games and rank 88th in KenPom's defensive efficiency metric. Usher has reached double figures in 12 straight with three double-doubles during that stretch. With three 45+ point fantasy performances this season, he should be one of the highest scoring players tonight if the efficiency is there.

Darryl Morsell, G, Marquette ($7,800 DK, $7,000 FD)

Morsell has been a much better player at Fiserv Forum than on the road this season, averaging 20.3 points on 58 percent shooting at home compared to 9.3 points on 39 percent shooting on the road over his last three road and home games. In what should be a tight game with Villanova, Morsell should be on court nearly the entire game and provides a solid floor with his ability to produce points across the stat sheet.

Middle Tier

Keve Aluma, F, Virginia Tech ($6,600 DK, $7,300 FD)

Aluma gets an $1,100 drop in salary after an abysmal game against Florida State in which he was held to a season-low four points. That salary decrease will likely make him highly rostered, as this is an easier matchup against sub .500 Georgia Tech, and Aluma overall this season has been dominant with four double-doubles and five 20+ point scoring games.

Casey Morsell, G, N.C. State ($5,700 DK, $5,000 FD)

After being relegated to a bench role in mid-December, Morsell re-entered the starting lineup three games ago against his old school Virginia and responded with 12 points on 63 percent shooting. He's averaging over 21 fantasy points over his last four games, and he's been an efficient three-point shooter at 42 percent. A matchup against a Syracuse zone that has been historically bad this season sets this up to be a popular game to stack.

Values

Simas Lukosius, F, Butler ($4,600 DK, $4,600 FD)

Butler's roster tends to usually be a fade, as the Bulldogs have struggled mightily offensively and don't have a single player priced over $6,000. However, Lukosius has seen increased playing time over the last couple of weeks as the team's first option off the bench, logging at least 25 minutes in five consecutive games and scoring 20+ fantasy points three times over that stretch. He carries some risk due to his streaky shooting, but at this price range, he's worth the potential reward.

Eric Hunter, G, Purdue ($3,800 DK, $4,700 FD)

Hunter gets a nice $900 discount compared to his FanDuel salary, which is a bit surprising considering he's recorded a pair of 20-point fantasy performances over his last three games. He's started the last two games, and although Jaden Ivey is slated to return to the starting lineup, Hunter is expected to remain in with Isaiah Thompson coming off the bench. He's a safe and low-cost lineup filler.
