Needs surgery, done for season
Lee will undergo season-ending surgery on his left ankle, according to Jeeho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency.

Lee hurt his left ankle fielding a routine single during Kiwoom's game Saturday against Lotte. On Monday, he underwent an MRI, revealing his injury is expected to take three months to heal. Lee will not have enough time to return during the 2023 regular season, which has been quickened so South Korea can send its best KBO players to partake in this year's Asian Games. The injury could also affect his chances of joining an MLB team, as he was expected to be posted later this year. Lee was limited to 85 games, the first time he has played under 100 in a KBO season across his seven-year pro career.
