We're just a handful of fights into the card and we already have a couple strange judging scores on our hands. At least they appeared to get this one correct. Azure started slowly and finished slowly in this bout, but he had a strong Round 2, plus threw and landed more on the feet. Although he has alternated wins and losses in his first four official bouts with the company, Azure has proven to be a competent bantamweight who fights often and is almost always competitive. It won't lead to Azure cracking the rankings at 135 pounds any time soon, but he has definite value for a company which holds an event seemingly every week.

Shore has a slight advantage in height but both fighters have had successful careers thus far and should make for a competitive matchup.

Things got a little hairy when Smith got his own takedown and jumped on Azure's back in the third frame, but he had already done enough to take a clear decision win. He will get his bonus, but this has to feel like a missed opportunity for Azure, who seems like he isn't exactly sure whether he wants to throw hands, or use his wrestling chops. He will need to formulate a cohesive gameplan if he wants to continue to climb in the rankings. Azure moves to 9-1 in professional MMA as a result of the win.
