Latest Fantasy Rumors
Praised by new DC
Kinlaw was the first player that new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks mentioned in his inaugural press conference Friday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. "The day that I came in on my interview, he was here working out," Wilks said of Kinlaw. "He has not missed a day of offseason training, so I'm excited to see exactly where he's going to be."
ANALYSIS
San Francisco declined to pick up Kinlaw's fifth-year option, but the 2020 first-round pick is still part of the team's plans on defense and has made a strong first impression on his new coach.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
Selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Kinlaw will have big shoes to fill replacing DeForest Buckner on the interior of San Francisco's dominant defensive line. Unlike his predecessor, the South Carolina product is more of a run-stuffing bull rusher who is unlikely to post the near double-digit sack totals the team was accustomed to receiving from Buckner. For that reason, Kinlaw is unlikely to be an impact IDP player unless he can somehow generate gaudy tackle totals, which is difficult to do at the defensive tackle position.
