Keller has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and will be sidelined indefinitely, manager Frank Schmidt told media during his pre-match conference Friday. "Keller has been diagnosed: Unfortunately, he has torn a cruciate ligament and will be operated on in the next few days. He will therefore be out for the next few months," he said.
ANALYSIS
Keller suffered the injury in training and will undergo surgery in the coming days, a procedure that will rule him out for an extended period -- and is likely to keep him out for the rest of the campaign. Keller had made just two appearances off the bench before the injury, so his absence will not affect Heidenheim's plans significantly going forward.
